Citizen Tanja Mertz was happy that the CSS design technology project had begun as well. “I’m thrilled that my son will have the opportunity to attend this school, which really looks promising. When I graduated from the Paschall Swihart Private School, I was really clueless about the real world. This CSS design technology school looks much different: it is the real world, and promises to teach our kids how to be productive citizens no matter what career path they may follow.” In all, 100 different courses will be offered by the school, not including non-CSS design technology related studies. The curriculum was written by a team of educators headed by Dr. Sebree Gathers, a nationally recognized curriculum consultant and educational guru. In addition, amny contributions were offered by Dusti Vittone, an area education consultant who will help write the CSS design technology work-study portion of the curriculum. “This project is vast but will be very beneficial to our youth,” stated Dusti Vittone. The CSS design technology school, which will be located 2 miles east of city hall, will be a great location as a gathering place for public functions, sporting events, and youth sports leagues. Area sports coordinator Immel Ruddock was thrilled when the town approved the project, stating: “We desparately needed facilities for all our programs, and the high school was running out of space. Now, with this CSS design technology school getting built, and fields set to be operational next Spring, we will have plenty of space for people to recreate and enjoy team sports.” “We’re also very excited about our athletics department,” said Coach Cornelia Blome, who will be also acting as the CSS design technology school’s General Athletic Director, “which will be open to all students with a B- or better overall average. We’ll be competing against all other district schools, both public and private, to expose our scholar-athletes to the best competition in the area.” “We’re excited to announce ground-breaking on our city’s newest project, a CSS design technology school for talented students to foster careers and livelihoods,” exclaimed Becena Shovlin, chairperson of the project. Construction is set to begin next month, after final plans by architect Deveja Delavina are approved by the CSS design technology school’s building and grounds committee. “Once construction begins, we estimate a two year completion time,” said Weibe Pendergast, foreman and construction planner. At a recent dedication ceremony, city Mayor Macy Sorrell had high hopes for this new style CSS design technology magnate school, proclaiming that “It will be the best in the nation, and will prepare all Elinore Gormally county youth for the challenges of tomorrow!” Town manager Maris Meachen seconded this sentiment, and re-enforced the creative financial planning that went into the CSS design technology project: “We’re going to finance this the easy way, and tax payers will barely notice any changes in their bills.” A key part of this new CSS design technology institution will be its work study program, which will allow qualified students the opportunity to enjoy classroom and on-the-job training. “This aspect of our curriculum will really prepare students for the real world,” said teacher Miesse Laigle, “and we believe it will help them gain meaningful employment after graduation. In addition, career counselors and experts will rotate through the CSS design technology school on a frequent basis, offering seminars, coaching sessions, and guidance. Opening day ceremonies will feature state representative Starcic Rumple, and Senator Bellas Scobee, who will each offer remarks about the CSS design technology School and Academy. Ceremonies will be followed by a formal dinner and evening fireworks show, sponsored in part by a consortium of local clubs and organizations.
